  • WAS IT MY FAULT? SELF BLAME AND EFFECTS OF RAPE.

  •                               This is going to be short and brief but very educating, most rape victims blame themselves for getting raped but it shouldn’t be so. The deed has been done although it seems hard/impossible to forget. The effects of rape to victims who blame themselves for getting raped is not good, it can lead insanity or even suicide at worst.
  •                    Lets take a look at some of the effects on rape victims who blame themselves;

  • INSANITY: Like I said in my introduction rape vctims who blame themselves tends to go insane because they’ve failed to accept the fact that the deed has been done. This leads to too much of thinking which affects them psychologically thereby leading to insanity but if they accept the fact that the deed has been done such would not happen.

  • LACK OF EMOTIONS: rape victims that fail to get over it becomes uncaring and they're not emotionally attached to the opposite sex.  That's why you see some ladies slapping a guy who's professing his love for her, the victims believe in the phrase that says *All men are the same".

  • SUICIDE : some goes to the extreme by committing suicide because they believe they have nothing worthwhile living for .
  • One of the reasons we shouldn't abandon any rape victim.

  •     In conclusion I'll say that victims shouldn't blame themselves for it because the effects are way greater than the self guilt.

  • I stand to Say No To Rape.
