Lionel Messi tells Barcelona to sign Antoine Griezmann and these TWO stars in the summer

BARCELONA star Lionel Messi has reportedly upped the ante on who the club should sign this summer.

The Argentina ace is believed to remain angry at the manner of Barcelona’s exit from the Champions League earlier this month and changes are afoot.

Messi and co sacrificed a 3-0 first leg lead against Liverpool by getting thrashed 4-0 in the second leg of the semi-final at Anfield.

Messi made no secret of the fact that another Champions League trophy was high on his agenda this season but it eluded them once more.

While another domestic double is still possible, many believe that the make up of the team is not up to standard at the moment.

And according to Spanish publication Diario GOL, the captain wants major changes in the summer.

It was earlier reported that three first team players at the club could be shipped out this summer to free up some much needed funds to bring in new faces.

Philippe Coutinho, Ivan Rakitic, and Samuel Umtiti were all named as the players that would be sacrificed.

Selling them would open up north of £200m should the club get the fee that they would require, leaving the door open to bring in the players they want.

One player high on Messi and the club’s wish-list has been Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann.

The World Cup winner almost moved to the Nou Camp last year but opted to remain in Madrid for the time being.

However, he has announced that he will leave this summer and his £108m release clause will certainly appeal.

The publication also reports that Messi wants the club to sign Bayern Munich full-back Joshua Kimmich.

The Germany international is widely regarded as one of the best in the business in his position and would add much needed strength to Barcelona to challenge Nelson Semedo and Sergi Roberto.

Another player widely linked with a move to the Nou Camp this summer is Ajax captain Matthijs de Ligt.

The teenage centre-half has been a revelation this season as the Dutch giants were seconds away from reaching the Champions League final.

Messi is though to be a huge admirer and with Frenkie de Jong set to arrive from the Dutch giants already this summer, De Ligt could link up once again in with his team-mate in Catalonia.
