Ahead of the summer transfer window, reports have emerged in the media to claim that Real Madrid and Chelsea are very close to agreeing on two deals for Mateo Kovacic and Eden Hazard.

The Belgian attacker could very well be leaving the Stamford Bridge this summer with one year left in his contract, and Kovacic might just be staying put with the Blues having been on loan from the Spanish club.

The Premier League outfit will not be bringing in any new players to the club in two transfer window as they have been banned by FIFA for breaking rules regarding the signing of youth players.

According to Spanish outlet Marca, the FIFA ban imposed on Chelsea won’t stop them from agreeing on a deal for Kovacic having been registered as a Chelsea player since his loan deal last year.

Announcement for Hazard was reported to be delayed as the club wanted to secure a spot in the Champions League group stage next season, which they attained during the weekend after their 3-0 triumph over Watford.

Personal terms for the Belgian attacker regarding a transfer to Santiago Bernabeu have been agreed for a while and deal is said to be almost done, as per reports. But a transfer fee is said to be issue as Chelsea wants the Spanish club to pay €140 million for the attacker and reports says the final fee to be agreed could drop down to €100 million.

Should that deal be agreed, Hazard will be setting a Madrid club record for the most expensive dragging down Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo.
