No Mention of His Sickness or Why He was Absent: See President Buhari’s ‘Letter of Resumption’ to Senate & Reps
An official letter signed by President Muhammadu Buhari which was sent
to the Nigerian Senate and House of Representatives on the resumption to
office after spending an extended vacation in London, has been
obtained.
President Muhammadu Buhari has formally resumed work and has
formally sent an official ‘Letter of Reumption’ to the National Assembly
to the effect.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reported that the President, who
returned to the country on Friday after a successful medical vacation in
London for more that a month, entered his office at around 11.15 a.m.
The president’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity,
Malam Garba Shehu, confirmed the development while fielding questions
from State House correspondents in Abuja on Monday, adding that the
president would later hold meeting with Vice-President, Yemi Osinbajo.
Femi Adesina, who is the presidents special adviser on media and
publicity earlier on Monday tweeted that the president has signed a
letter informing the National Assembly of his resumption of duty from
today.
The "Letter Of Resumption" which was exclusively obtained by
SaharaReporters, shows that President Buhari didn’t mention what ails
him, why he was absent from work for a long time and if he is now ok.
