Nokia To Launch Up To Five New Smartphones In February 2017
A new report suggests that Nokia will launch at least four new
devices along with Nokia D1C at Mobile World Congress (MWC) to be held
in February 2017. The four new devices will feature 5.1-inch to 5.7-inch
display sizes with resolution range from Full HD to Quad HD.
HMD Global, the company responsible for manufacturing Nokia branded smartphones has been continuously co-operating with supply chain makers in Taiwan to manufacture these four new models. The industry reports also claim that the supply partners of display panels include LG, Century Technology (CTC) and Innolux. The FIH Mobile is reportedly serving a production partner for HMD Global.
The Nokia D1C is also expected to be launched in two variants with varying memory and display size. The bigger model is said to be priced around Rs 12,999 = #62,000 which will come with 3GB of RAM and 5.5-inch Full HD display. Whereas the smaller model is supposed to come with a price tag of Rs 9,999 = #47,000 and sports a 5-inch Full HD display and 2GB of RAM. Talking about other specs, the Nokia D1C is expected to be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor and run on Android Nougat out of the box. Coming to the camera front, the phone is said to sport a 13-megapixel camera rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies.
The other four phones are meant to include Nokia Pixel, Nokia C1 and two unknown smartphones.
